Terms of use
The terms for reading StudentReach and for its updates by email and text.
Last updated November 2, 2026
Accepting these terms
stureach.com is the website of StudentReach, a brand of Consumer Response Media, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110. These terms cover reading the site, writing to us and signing up for updates. If you would rather not accept them, please close the site.
What StudentReach offers
StudentReach publishes free courses that explain how paying for college works: the FAFSA, aid offers, scholarships, student loans, everyday money and working while you study. It also sends occasional updates by email, and by text when you ask for them.
StudentReach is an independent education website. It is not a government agency, a school, a lender or a scholarship provider, and it is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Education. It does not award, lend, decide or apply for aid, and no page or message files a form or signs you up for anything. Filing the FAFSA is free, at studentaid.gov.
Education, not advice
The lessons describe programs and rules in general terms. They cannot take account of your own school, family or finances, and they are not financial, tax or legal advice. For a decision about your own aid, taxes or loans, ask your school's financial aid office, the agency that runs the program or a qualified professional.
The planner and progress marks
The planner and the read marks on lessons work inside your browser. What you enter there is not sent to StudentReach, and a finishing date from the planner is an estimate of reading time only.
Your part
Updates are for readers aged 16 and up. Texts need you to be 18 or over, or to have a parent's or guardian's permission. The name, email address and mobile number you give must be your own, and you can change or remove them at any time.
SMS text messaging
Program description
StudentReach updates is a program of recurring automated marketing text messages sent directly by StudentReach to people who have opted in. The messages tell you about new or revised lessons, remind you of dates in the student aid calendar, and answer your sign-up or message. Every text begins with [StudentReach].
How you opt in
You opt in by typing your own mobile number into the updates sign-up, the form on the home page or the contact form, and ticking the text message box yourself. The box is never ticked for you, and no one can opt in on another person's behalf.
Consent
Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. Every course and lesson on stureach.com is open to read whether or not you agree to texts.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. StudentReach charges nothing for its texts.
Opting out
Reply STOP at any time to opt out and cancel. One message confirms it, and nothing follows. Asking by phone or email ends texts in the same way.
Help
Reply HELP for help, or call (800) 741-9835 or email hello@stureach.com, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm EST.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your mobile information will not be shared with any third party for marketing purposes. The SMS terms and the Privacy policy explain how your number and consent are stored.
Accuracy and limits
Every lesson is checked and reread each award year, but aid rules change and no summary can cover every case. As far as the law allows, StudentReach is not responsible for loss that follows from relying on the site instead of the office or agency that decides.
Changes to these terms
This page may be revised from time to time. Check the date at the top to see which version applies; carrying on with the site after a revision counts as accepting it.
Governing law
The law of the State of Wyoming governs these terms. Questions about them go to hello@stureach.com or (800) 741-9835. Post for StudentReach goes to Consumer Response Media, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
